CALLING ALL ALUMNI:

Join the Gloucester Mentors Visit Program

Now that you have gained some experience in “the real world”, come and share your insights with the current crop of young Gloucester minds.

Gloucester’s new Alumni Mentors Visit Program is looking for graduates from all professions and walks of life to volunteer as little as an hour to serve as resource people in every kind of class imaginable.

·        Run your own business? Come and talk to a business or careers class about the nature of entrepreneurship.

·        Know something about environmental conservation? Come share what you know with the science, geography or environmental studies groups.

·        Know your way around an electron microscope or a computer animation lab? Gloucester students would love you to come and share your knowledge.

·        Done missionary work in the developing world?  Tell us what you learned.

·        In short, if you have been doing something real, we want you. (And if you’ve been doing something surreal, we probably want you even more!)

It’s simple, flexible and fun.

Send us an e-mail with a short summary of what you have been doing since graduation and what sort of volunteer visit you’d like to do (e.g., one class only in a particular subject, or maybe stay for the whole day for a variety of classes and topics). We don’t need your whole life history, but do let us know your credentials, experience and interests. We’ll then play matchmaker with a suitable teacher (or teachers), and leave you to sort out a suitable topic theme and visit time.

Be a visiting mentor. Give the gift of insight and experience to Gloucester’s next generation of graduates.
